Refer.market
Designing the first launched experience for a marketplace connecting job seekers with employee referrals.

The challenge
Skills alone do not always open doors. Job seekers may lack connections at the companies they want to join. Refer.market aimed to connect them with employees who could review their profile and decide whether to offer a referral.
From an idea to a working experience
As the first and sole UX/UI designer, I worked with the CEO, project manager, and engineer to shape the initial experience. I translated requirements into user flows, reviewed them with the team, and developed wireframes and interface designs. Recorded user sessions also informed my decisions.
A clear focus at each step
Candidates needed to share personal details, professional information, and job preferences. I divided onboarding into three steps to make the information easier to complete without presenting everything at once.
Introduce yourself
Contact details, LinkedIn profile, and résumé.
Describe your goals
Up to three target companies, discipline, role, and location.
Complete the request
Proceed to the service-fee payment step.

Give both sides a place to follow progress
Employees could browse candidates interested in their company and review their experience, seniority, résumé, LinkedIn profile, and reasons for requesting a referral. Messaging and accept-or-decline actions supported the next step.
I designed dashboards for both user groups to view requests and follow referral status. A sharing banner also encouraged users to introduce others to Refer.market.

A consistent foundation for the interface
I brought buttons, form fields, colors, typography, and icons into a shared design system to support consistency across onboarding and dashboard screens.

Designed for the first launch
My contribution covered the initial user flows, wireframes, and interface designs used for the first launch. I left before the second design cycle and do not have verified post-launch performance metrics.
